General Admission Requirements

Hairmetric Academy does not discriminate in its employment, admission, instruction, or graduation policies on the basis of sex, age, race, color, religion, or ethnic origin nor does it recruit students already attending or admitted to another school offering similar programs of study. Our institution requires that each student enrolling in Barbering, Cosmetology to Barber Crossover, Barber and Advanced Cut/Color Programs must meet the Admission requirements accordingly.

 

  • Personal interview of each student
  • Complete all admission forms
  • Application fee of $50 (Check, Money Order, or Credit/Debit Card Accepted)
  • Copy of your Birth Certificate (Preferred) or Driver’s License or State Issued ID (Picture Visible)
  • Completed State of Missouri Student Enrollment Application (clickable link to State Form)
  • Two Photographs measuring approximately 2”x2” (Passport Photos Preferred)
  • Medical Exam (Barber Only) (clickable link to medical form)
  • Check or Money Order for $5.00 made out to Board of Cosmetology and Barber Examiners
  • If you are transferring from another Barber School, please bring transcripts


An applicant for a Crossover and Advanced Programs:

  • Advanced Program Applicants: Must have a valid Missouri Barber license.
  • Crossover Applicants: Must have a valid Missouri CA Cosmetology or CH Cosmetology license and must meet all of the above requirements as applicable.


Admission Procedure

Before enrollment into one of the courses, certain career information is available to the prospective student during the admissions interview. This information assists the prospective student in making an informed decision regarding the educational programs offered by this institution, as well as the expectations one should have in a career in the field of Barbering. This information includes but is not limited to completion rates, employment rates, and licensure rates, licensing requirements, safety requirements, demands and safety precautions of the industry and compensation information.

 

  • Personal interview plus tour with staff
  • The student completes the application.
  • The student provide educational documentation.
  • The student required identification such as valid identification and social security card.
  • The student is assigned a date for orientation and school start date.
  • The student completes his /her enrollment agreement and make payment and/or payment arrangements.
